In this article, we will discuss 5 Essential Oils that Make You Blissfully Stress Free.
If you have serious issues with stress and anxiety, like I do, and you don’t want to take medication for it, these essential oils should offer some help.
These continue to help me with my anxiety, and lower my stress levels, and I suspect they may help you!
Patchouli has a very strong, musky, and earthy scent. Seriously, it’s one of those scents that you either really like or you really hate. There isn’t an in-between.
This essential oil helps to calm emotions when you’re really angry. It helps to be an anti-depressent, while pushing away any negative moods. It’s known to promote a sense of grounding, balancing and mood-harmonizing according to New Direction Aromatics. No wonder the hippies used it!
Geranium Essential Oil helps to calm nerves if you’re worried about something. Anytime you feel overly anxious or nervous about what is going on in the world, or about finances, diffuse this oil (or just take a whiff) and let your stress slip away.
Myrrh Essential Oil Elevates mood, promotes awareness, uplifts.Sustainable Baby Steps explains that the emotional benefits of Myrrh impacts the idea of trust and helps people feel safe. It especially helps those who want to build trusting bonds with others.
Additionally, the Organic Daily Post states that it helps with relaxation and the reduction of anxiety. Bonus, it also helps to alleviate headaches. That’s always a good thing since nothing gets rid of positivity faster than a headache (or traffic. But no essential oil can save us from that).
Rosemary Essential Oil helps to reduce tension, stress and fatigue. Personally, I’m kind of obsessed with the scent. It’s very herbal.
As previously stated, it helps with stress relief. In a 2007 study titled: Smelling Lavender and Rosemary Increases Free Radical Scavenging Activity and Decreases Cortisol Level In Saliva indicates that it is scientifically proven that it helps calm a person down. Cortisol, in case you’re not aware, contributes to stress, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
Additionally, it helps with stress. In a study titled: The Effects of Lavender and Rosemary Essential Oils On Test-taking Anxiety Among Graduate Students found that it actually lowered anxiety and pulse rates.
Also, Rosemary assists with mental clarity, meaning it helps with a feeling of being overwhelmed, and can also aid in memory. And, according to one study, it might actually make you feel smarter. Sweet.
In addition to all these things, it also helps with headaches, boost immunity, increase circulation and a whole bunch of other things according to Natural Living Ideas.

Spearmint Essential Oil uplifts balancing aroma. New Directions Aromatics gives a cool fact about spearmint. You can use it for Jeopardy if you’re ever on there. The fact is that it is believed to be the oldest member of the plant family.

These are a few essential oils that help calm anxiety and stress. Once again, I urge you to use brands that are pure grade. My preference is Rocky Mountain Oils.
Finally, if you diffuse these – for the love of God don’t buy a diffuser that’s nearly $60. I have this diffuser that I got off of Amazon for less than $20. It works fantastic and it’s cost effective.
At the end of the day, the most fun and soothing part of all this is that you get to play chemist, and come up with fun recipes that are tailored to your taste! Hooray!
